We Aren't Getting Taken Out of Our Area!

Hey y'all!! Sounds like you had a good fun week!! I can't believe Angela's already going home!! That's super exciting!! This week was super awesome here in Denton!!
Monday: P-day was fabulous I even went thrift shopping for the first time, I guess that's the thing to do here in Denton, its so hipster haha.  The other sisters here love it!! Then we went on exchange I got to be with my mtc companion Sister C it was a partay, I love her so much! And I love going on exchanges with the sisters because I learn a lot everytime.

Showing off her mad gymnastic skills!
Tuesday: I was with Sister C doing YSA stuff which was great until the evening and our whole district went caroling, trying to visit all the referrals the members gave us, which is like 70!! That's way good though, but takes lots of time so we have done that quite a bit this week!!
Wednesday: We did service at Our Daily Bread! But on the way there in the car I felt something weird on my head, I thought it was just my hair but then no --  a HUGE spider fell on my lap!! How did it get there? I don't know but I screamed it had the longest legs ew I was in shock for awhile haha. Sister S had her final interview with president so her and Sister J went to that and with the driving and all it took like 3 hours so I had H G as my companion (she's the one that just got home from Boston) The Gs are so awesome, they had us for dinner that night too!! Then we caroled!
Thursday: Planning day. Then this is where it gets good. I can't remember all that I told you about S our investigator, but while I was on exchange the sisters taught him the Restoration and he said, "I don't care how Joseph Smith got his answer, I just know it's true!" When I called him the night before to confirm for our lesson the next day he was talking about church and said when he walked in his heart tightened and he felt the spirit so strong and that he wanted to cry but he didn't want everyone to think he was weird.... amazing right?! So we had another lesson and I got to be there:) And we taught the plan of salvation, he was taking notes the whole time and just soaked it all in! He's started reading from the Book of Mormon and loves it! He is so amazing ah it kills me I love him! And he was found through a member!! It's just the best when it's through a member! By the way I was thinking the other day how that one year we studied Preach my Gospel as a family, that was so awesome!! I should've taken more advantage of that!! Y'all should do that again!!!! Seriously!!

Friday: Went on exchange with the Decatur sisters!! and caroled there! oh oh but I did find out that we aren't getting taken out of our area, and I know who my new companion will be, she is from Tonga!! She came out one transfer after me! We will no longer be in a trio. I'm so excited we are just gonna rock it! I love the Polynesians and they just love me:) She'll be here on Wednesday!!

Saturday: Saw some recent converts and caroled that night. haha nothing very exciting!

Sunday: Yay!!! J 10, B 8, C(their grandma), S and J all came to church!! It was so exciting!!! And our meeting and lessons were just amazing it was so great!!! There are miracles happening here!! And we went to the Denton Stake Christmas concert and is was so awesome they are very musically talented:) It was a nice day:)

I've learned a lot here with my Sister S and Jand I will miss them lots, but I'm excited to learn more and more!! And I'm super excited to stay in this area, I love it here!!

Oh and cool thing I learned this morning as I was studying about charity, in 1 Peter 4:8 its says "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." Charity preventeth a multitude of sins! I never thought of that before that is so awesome!!!!

Anywho I just love yall so much!!! Have the best week ever!!!

I Love Sharing It With Others

Hey hey!!
First off, I'm glad to hear that dad is doing better!! And also I'm just super duper excited that Sadie is going on a mission!! Tell her yay yay yay its the best thing in the world!!!!!! Thanks for all the emails I sure do love reading them!! And I can't wait to get my package:)
So I wrote y'all just a few days ago it seems and since then I have had a lot of meetings, goodness being a stl requires a lot of that, its very different but I'm learning a lot of different things which is really good. I have realized that as a leader I have to be listening to the spirit to help those that I am over just as I do with the investigators that we teach. So on Friday we had mlc which was super amazing I learned soooo much! And of course I just love seeing President and Sister Ames! Sometimes I don't think about it but I feel the spirit so much every single day, I love it, that really is how we learn. As I kept a prayer in my heart throughout the meeting so many things came to mind to change and to help the sisters we work with. I also was able to see some old Killeen buddies so that was awesome. We had our ward Christmas party that night as well and Quita and her two kids were able to come and also Jessie! That's all of our investigators it was so exciting! It was journey to Bethlehem and it was really nice, each room was decorated and had the sheperds, 3 kings, angels, king herod, mary and joseph etc. and they would tell their side of the story and then we would sing a Christmas hymn! We also had members who brought their friends and tons of less actives, I feel like we need to have these kind of activities all the time to invite less actives and non members its the best opportunity and turned out very well!!
Bad news is, my sick companions are not sick anymore, but I am. Haha I'm ok though its also my allergies because the crazy weather just makes everything crazy! So I don't remember if I told y'all about the Hs, they are a part member family. They came to church 2 weeks ago because the parents  called bishop and asked about church time and place stuff and they all came! We have been trying to get a hold of them to teach their daughter and son and sister in-law and were able to get J to the party and then they all came to church again yesterday!!! They really want to be involved in the church again and their daughter J who is 30 wants to be a member! We had her over at the relief society presidents house for the Christmas devotional yesterday and taught lesson 1, she loved it, she understood it and has a baptismal date for next month! She said she feels peace and love at church and with all the members, she said it feels like home, it feels like family. It just showed to me again how God has people prepared to receive the gospel and so He says here ya go sisters you need to teach this family, you're welcome! We don't do a thing, its all through the spirit. It just is super great to be a part of the whole thing!!
Rumors are that our area might get closed! we will find out soon, 10 sisters are going home this transfer and only 2 are coming out! So we have to shut down some sisters areas! I'm just dying to know but I'll let y'all know next week!!
Yesterday we had a great testimony meeting, in my last ward and branch I had to get up every time because not enough people would, but there was hardly anytime for me to yesterday and it was powerful!! I bore my testimony about the restoration of the gospel, I know that this is Christs church restored in its fullness upon the earth, I know that it is logically because it just makes complete sense, but I know because the spirit has testified of this truth many times, Joseph Smith is a prophet and Thomas S. Monson is a prophet today, I am so blessed to have this knowledge. I know God lives and I know He loves each one of us, I am so grateful to my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ and I know that it is only through him that we can live with our Heavenly Father again and make it through this life. I am so thankful for this knowledge and I want you all to know that I do love this gospel and I love sharing it with others, just as each of these children of God gain a testimony, my testimony continues to grow every single day.
I love you all so much

While On A Mission Your Capability to Love Is Just So Easy

Ok I'm sorry I know y'all want pictures and I don't know I just lost my cord that connects to the computer......... so I don't know what to do... sorry I have taken lots of pictures though I wish I could send them!! Sounds like thanksgiving was fun and Las Vegas, where are the pics?!!:) Also I still wanna see what dads face looks like!
Thanksgiving was good here! It was our planning day so we did that then took around some thank you cards, the street we live on is basically all family and a member of the 2nd quorum of the seventy Elder Martinos home is there and I totally shook his hand haha. We had dinner with the M from our ward it was fun but their food wasn't as good, it wasn't homemade:( but still great and they invited their Buddhist friend J over and she was an absolute sweetheart she is from Thailand and  her husband passed away not to long ago, we taught a mini version of the Plan of Salvation and she really felt the spirit, but it's interesting because she doesn't really believe in God or Jesus Christ but almost everyone in Texas does so when they don't I'm like wuuuuutttttt?? hah It was good though. After, we went to the Gs she had some family who aren't members and just wanted us to be there and meet them and they had GOOD food, like way good so they gave us lots of leftovers:) I love them. And my favorite dessert was sweet potatoe flan, sounds weird right?! So so yummy!! We also just saw some less actives and that was our Thanksgiving!! Have you guys watched the "He is the Gift" video yet? It's so powerful, I love it, everytime! The weather has been kinda crazy it was like 75 then changed to 35!!

We went on exchange with the sisters in Decatur last week and I went there with Sister Bs and we did service and taught their investigator Ch he was super awesome, such a cowboy! But I just loved him and it was like only an hour I had known him, so I was thinking about that and really love that while on a mission your capability to love is just so easy and so much and so fast. I definitely do not judge people from their appearance anymore well hopefully not as much, and when you talk with everyone you just realize that they are super awesome!! I love that!

Funny story, the girl who said I looked like Shakira, we had dinner at their house and she was singing Shakira and Shania twain the whole time and she said the closing prayer and was like "thanks for letting us sing hips don't lie by shakira etc." and went on and on it was hilarious but so cute!

So Q and her two kids were in the hospital all last week so we weren't able to see them, but we were able to see them yesterday and they are doing well! The kids are so smart and remember lots of what we have taught them. I haven't taught kids a lot on the mish so it has been fun thinking of fun ways to teach them and they are very receptive and help their mom. The other week she told us "you better get that water running warm because I'm running to it!" talking about getting baptized!! And she wants to go to the temple way bad, but she is just having a really hard time quitting smoking:( we are doing all we can to help her and praying lots!!

Other than all that my companions got sick this week:( oh S is from West Jordan and J is originally from San Antonio but moved to Springville last year! The picture from K (she's less active) is when we went to teach her but she made all this herbal medicine tea stuff for them to make them feel better but she made me drink it too, gross it was gross haha but she wanted to send a pic to our moms cause she loves us:)

We went to the temple this morning!! Yayyyyy Sister G is the sweetest lady ever and drove us and it was so so nice to be there, I've missed it, and I saw the new video which was cool, it was so peaceful:) I want all our recent converts to go there:) We just barely got back from Dallas and just doing all our pday stuff today! We have lots of meetings this weekend and lots of caroling to do so it should be great! Sometimes I get bummed with things that happen, but then during studies the other day I was just like I just love being a missionary and I love Texas so much! I've learned so much and I love teaching others everything that I've learned. Everybody needs to go on a mission:)

Scripture for the day: Nahum(who knew? haha) 1:7 love it! love yall!!!!!

Performance Measured is Performance Improved!

Good morning familia!!
Thanks for the emails, I hope dads lips are ok...... send me a picture haah!! I hope y'all have a great Thanksgiving this week!! First off thanks for the amazing cinnamon rolls, they were the bomb! Thank you!!:) I'm most thankful to be on a mission right now, to meet these amazing people and to learn how awesome the gospel of Jesus Christ really is. I'm grateful for Christ's atonement that we can be redeemed and it can also enable us. I'm so so grateful for you my family for your amazing examples and support to me! Thanks a bunch!!!
I'm starting to get more used to being up here in Denton it is just so different from the south haha but I really love the missionaries here and I'm starting to love this area! So every week we go to Our Daily Bread which is a soup kitchen and we help prepare the food and serve it and clean, we served 218 plates on Wednesday! Almost all the missionaries in our zone do this and it is a lot of fun. I really love when we get to do service, I feel like before my mission I didn't probably because I was just too lazy but now I LOVE it and the people are so so grateful:) Its pretty good food too!
Also we had interviews with president this week! Yay! So we were at the church like all day and I had to give a training I was scared but it went well I think. haha We were able to clean up our area book and it was great! We are trying to help our wards come up with a ward mission goal for baptisms this year so our missions goal and the stakes goals will be the same so we can go together arm in arm because working with the members is most important! I've been learning a lot about setting goals and they are awesome and so important. I'm glad y'all taught us to always do that! Performance measured is performance improved! We also have some exciting things coming up for the holidays! We are giving Living Christmas Cards, the members write down their friends that they would like us to give this gift to, we the missionaries sing a few Christmas hymns share a few scriptures from Luke and then give them a Joy to the World DVD and leave them with a prayer! What a nice gift:) Our purpose is to bring the spirit into their homes and then the members job is to follow up and see how their friend liked it and it easily opens up a conversation to share the gospel with their friend! Brilliant! And I can't wait we will start the day after Thanksgiving! Also the church is doing the He is the Gift initiative. Have you heard of it?? Its awesome!! There is going to be a video and it is gonna be advertised everywhere even at Times Square and will be the masthead on YouTube for one day even!! In the Dec. Ensign there will be pass along cards for YOU guys to pass out and you better pass them all out!!!! So many great things comin:)
So every time we go to a members home for dinner we have a lesson with them and we are helping them to come up with a family mission plan. soooooooooo do y'all have one?? You should! I was thinking of that talk by.... I can't remember who and he said we should invite someone once a quarter to meet with the missionaries! I so slacked on that before the mish, haha but even though you are in Utah you can totallyyyyy still have a mission plan:) So many members are like I don't interact with nonmembers because all my friends are members and I'm just like well you need to get some more friends then!!! I also read that you can really tell a members level of activity in the church not by them just attending each week, but how involved in missionary work they are:) That's good!!!! Y'all will be blessed:)
On another note, at church yesterday a part member family came to church, the parents are members but haven't come in like 20 years and they brought 3 other family members and they were like we are coming back next week it feels like home here and they are very interested in learning more! Hallelujah!! It was a miracle! What a blessing! They are busy this week with Thanksgiving but I can't wait to go and teach them! Also there is a mentally disabled young women who comes to RS with her mom and she turned around during the lesson and said hi to me and then so loudly said, "she looks like Shakira" she loves Shakira apparently but it was soooooooo funny!! hahaha
Oh also super excited to go to the temple! We are going next week on Wednesday so that is when our Pday will be so I will email y'all then!!! We went on two exchanges this week with the sisters we cover and it was super fun I learned lots.  We are busy busy but we are getting better with all three of us working together but it is a challenge:) But it's all good!!
I love you all so so so so much!!!!:)

So Guess What? I Live In A Barn!

Heyyyo!! This has been a long week but a goodie!! I was pretty sad to leave Copperas Cove this week I probably cried just lots of times, but I know that it was time to go somewhere new!

So it got wayyyyy cold here all of a sudden!!! Like thanks for sending the coats and boots!!! Its been like 30-40 degrees but it feels way way colder than that!!! brrrrrr!! So the morning of transfers I found out that we were going to be in a trio... its different haha! Sister Sylar leaves next transfer so I better learn the area fast, ahh I'm scared. Thanks for all your prayers.

So guess what?! I live in a barn! Yeah this is the dream for realzzz. We live in the country and it's awesome! As we study we get to listen to the cows moo, man I know I'm gonna love it! We have one family that is investigating but that is it, so we do a lot of less active work but we need to find new!!

I already love the people here though they are a crack up I seriously laugh so hard! Last night we had an MTC for the ladies in the ward to help them for when they come on exchange with us, so they're not scared and so they know what to do. It was way awesome. I'm learning what I need to do as a STL so that is good, we will go on exchanges like 2x a week so we will be busy busy and have lots of meetings, but I'm excited for all that I have to learn here and to help the people in Denton receive the gospel. I love you lots!!!

For Christmas can you send cinnamon rolls?  cool:) haha

Oh I'm glad y'all went to the temple thats awesome!! We are close enough to the temple that we are allowed to go so we are gonna go sometime this transfer boooyaaaaa!!!!

This zone is way smaller and no senior couples, and we had three in Killeen! Yeah it's small and lots of Spanish, and even ASL! I went to an ASL class Thursday and I memorized the alphabet!! I miss my old zone, but I'm already growing to love this place and these people! Just very different.

Here are a few of my most favorite peeps in the world!!!  Sad to say goodbye to them :(
It SNOWED last night!!!

Sorry I can't remember everything I think this is it love you lots!!!

I Did Not See That One Coming - Six Months on the 14th!

Happy happy birthday Zachy!!! Love y'all lots and lots!!

Monday: P-day was good we didn't do anything too exciting, but we did go to FHE with the YSA branch and played some volleyball, I think Sister T and I did pretty well in our dresses haha it was super fun I just laughed the whole time, we have quite a group of people in our ysa hahah I love them.

Tuesday: It rained all day. Then our car said that our tire pressure was low, let's just say we had to go to 3 different gas stations to finally get them all filled, don't ask why haha such a waste of time. Our appointments cancelled and we were just soaking wet haha and then when we finally got going, we ran out of gas. Haha it was a day.

Wednesday: We had district meeting, it was great I really love my district so so much, Sister Tuna and I are the only sisters, but we have two sets of senior missionaries so we are lucky:) And the Elders just feel like my little brothers they crack me up. So we had a missed call after the meeting so we call back and it was one of the AP's and he said that I am going to be a Sister Training Leader. I did not expect that at all!!! I did not see that one coming, I was super scared at first, but I'm good now, I know that there is a reason. I will learn a lotttt I know I will. I will be serving in Denton. I leave Wednesday mornin! I already cried lots of times to because I will leave Copperas Cove, I just love it so much here, it's like my new home and now I'm leaving on my mission all over again!!

Thursday: So I had to get up at 5 so that we could drive to the training meeting in Hurst, it was a great meeting and helped me not feel so nervous. I guess I just am because I feel like I still don't know very much and the STL's are always like the experienced sisters... I'm not haha. And we go on exchanges with sisters and stuff kind of like a district/zone leader I guess. But I just keep thinking who God calls He qualifies. Got home around 6 and went to a few appts. Sister T hung out with the hermanas all day.

Friday: Had to get up at 5 again to drive to Colleyville for the Mission Leadership Conference (this is for all the zone leaders and STL they have it once a month) That is where those pics came from that you got mama so I saw Sister T and my new comp! Its like a 5hr meeting but they bought us Chick-fil-a so we're good:) I learned a ton, and now we are supposed to help get this vision to all the other missionaries, it was really cool to be there, it's just like revelation pouring out!! Didn't get home until 10:30 at night and so I missed Meet the Mormons :( man I was so sad but Sis Tuna said it went well and we actually had a lesson with one of the members friend that he brought to the event, I hope many of the missionaries find new people to teach from it as well! The pics looked like it was good!!

Saturday: Finally got to do our regular missionary work again, those days just felt like a blur because all I did was sit in meetings and drive, all day haha.

So it was a busy week but it was great!! I love bein a missionary!!

LOVE YOU

Member Missionary Work Makes EVERYTHING So Much Better

Morning!! Wow my friendies are so cute!!! I'm so glad that you had them over! I love everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a blast:) And mom and dad you looked fabulous for halloween!! And what the what with Zach's hair??? Its turning into Harry Styles I think haha! Oh and that text for Kelsey is hilarious hahaha!! I love looking at pictures thanks for sending them! Also thanks for the cookies, wow they were fab!! So perfect. And thanks for the coats and boots I really do appreciate it! I felt so cool having two packages waiting for me ha.

Fd was baptized and confirmed this weekend!! (he is the one by the pic) Brother Mo baptized him, apparently they don't like to smile for pictures........ I teased them about it after and they said that that is their smile..... hahah.  The Mo family have been absolutely amaaaaaaaaaazing throughout this whole process I don't know if I told y'all about our first lesson with Fred.. but Sister T and I met him when we were at the soup kitchen trying to see if we could help and do service there and Fred asked if we would do Bible study with him so we were like sure!! The next day is when Sister T came and we went with a member to see him. He doesn't have much so all three of us sat on the couch and he sat on the floor, then he like laid down and then got up to go to the kitchen like 10x we were thinking uhhhhh this is never going to work! But then he came to church 2 Sundays in a row and then we started meeting at the Mos' home and then bam everything changed!! He doesn't have much education so we have to explain things very simply for him, but he just has such a strong desire to do what is right and do what God wants him to do and so the spirit really worked through him. We are going to the family history center with him on Wednesday to get him started and get some names so that he can go to the temple!! Very excited about that:) Member missionary work makes EVERYTHING so much better. seriously! We even had to fill the font! It was my first time because usually the ward mission leader does it but he couldn't so we went 2hrs early to make sure it was filled because we didn't want to have a recap of Izzi's when our WML didn't fill all the way so they had to kneel haha! Fred is a big guy, he barely fit in the font haha!

On Halloween we went to our ward trunk or treat and chili cook off and then did our weekly planning since we weren't to be out that night. We got tons of candy from the members. I gave all of mine to Sister T who of course happily accepted it, she eats it for breakfast haha! One of our investigators came with her husband to it!! She is super awesome and she has the best name in the entire world it starts with an M and ends with Kenzie hehe. Like God has prepared her for this time for reals she hadn't prayed for years and we asked her too and she gave the most heartfelt prayer ever!! I love her!

Meet the Mormons is this week I can't wait to tell y'all about it next week! Oh and it's so funny Sister T says y'all now and it just seems so weird, like a Samoan saying y'all it cracks me up!! Well I love you all super a lot!!! Have a great week!!

So Many of My Prayers Were Being Answered

I'm glad you are able to see all the pictures that they take at all our meetings!! You should send them to me so I can see them! Yes I met lots of missionaries there and I love them all! Sounds like a long fun weekend with the wedding and all the soccer! That is awesome! I hope you told everyone that I love them so so much!! I got Tanner's wedding invitation and they are the cutest!! I hope Brady's test went well! And I love that talk by Uchtdorf mom! So good, so true!!

So last week our district leader Elder J told us to think about how our prayers have been answered these last few weeks and asked if I would share at our district meeting on Wednesday, so I started trying to pay attention and woahhhh I realized so many of my prayers were being answered I just wasn't paying attention! Silly me! I guess because this transfer has been a little harder, our area had been doing really well with lots of amazing people to teach and good things happening but it's kinda not as great anymore which is normal but I was feelin bummed and really praying about what I needed to do better and trying to figure out what had changed and just stuff like that, and I've felt so stressed and so tired, but then as I started looking for answers to my prayers they just jumped out at me through scriptures I've been reading, the conferences we've been attending and stuff like that, this scripture is what really hit me in Matthew 11:

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

In all that we need to do we need to rely on Him and put all our trust and confidence and faith in Him not ourselves cause we can't do it all! And now I'm just way more relaxed and doing so much better!! Do your duty that is best, leave unto the Lord the rest! God is always answering our prayers we just need to make sure we are pondering and looking for our answers:)

So there are these two boys who are 12 and 13 that the elders baptized last month but they are really in our ward so now we teach them the new member lessons and they have a 15 year old sister that is now listening in on the lessons and came to church last Sunday! I just have to tell you about her though because I know my siblings would die! When she came to church we go up and give her a hug and we are like we are so glad that you are here!! She says yes part of me is happy part of me is not she said that she has two personas one is a Christian and the other a satanist... and that that part of her is mad that she is at church. She is interesting to say the least, but I love her!

Also on Saturday the first ward had a trunk or treat and chili cook off so we brought Fd to it and afterwards he had his baptismal interview and so he should be getting baptized soon now!! I wish y'all could meet him he is something else, his kids were going to all the cars getting candy and it was dark and he couldn't see them so he started yelling "amber alert, amber alert!" I feel like I am his mother and always have to make him behave in our lessons and church and everywhere haha.

We went and visited Sister Nielson yesterday and she is doing well, she is sore though, she got like two big chunks cut out of her arm and under her arm they look so painful, next week they will go in again and see if they got everything. We missed her cause we tell her all our stories and she will always laugh! But she's doin good!
And mommy thank you for your letter! I loved it so much, I was so excited I finally had something in the mail!:) And yes you could send some of that stuff and that would be fab, no preference on which ones first!:) thanks youre the bomb!!!

I love you all so so much!! Have a great week!!

And I Was A Lucky One!

Ok so news on Fd haha he has not been baptized so he will hopefully very soon. So weird, the mission office had to call Salt Lake to figure it out... missionary work, love it. We did find a couple new investigators this week which was awesome I think that they have some real potential too so that was pretty exciting and I don't remember if I told you about Ma who is 10 her dad was baptized in June and now she wants to be baptized so we are working with her father to get the priesthood so he can baptize her which would be really neat! So hopefully that will be sometime next month!! We always have tons of less actives to work with and lots of recent converts so we are always busy with that! We have heard that we will be getting ipads by the end of the year... who knows, they said that last year too apparently haha, it would be so sweet though!!!! I love all the mormon messages I wish we could share them with people at our lessons!!

Yes Sister T wears my clothes all the time hahah it's not that she doesn't have very much she just likes mine better and says hers aren't cute hahah she is such diva. We went shopping a couple weeks ago because she said she needed to, haha she bought sunglasses, a purse a skirt etc.. she kills me! I will send a card home, I just need to get a thingy to send it in, but I'll do that!! And hahaha yes I know Elder Lilo haha I met him like twice that is soooooooo funny! He told me I had a nice smile:) great missionary!! and no our mission doesn't use facebook. Hopefully that answered all your questions mama!!

Sounds like fall break was fun! And sounds like Syddos birthday was super fun! All the pictures were so awesome, I like the boating trip tradition, thats so fun! btw. you are spoiling Syd so much. ok. love ya.

So basically the best part of this week was that we had a conference in Fort Worth with Elder Cardon of the Seventy. We were up at like 5am and home at 9pm so it was a long day, but yay I saw Sister T!!! There were lots of missionaries but I'm like I only know people from the south haha but it was fun to meet everyone!! We talked about listening to and recognizing the spirit. I learned lots, of course it was great. But \what was really neat President Ames chose a few missionaries to have an interview with Elder Cardon and I was a lucky one! He asked about my family and things that I've learned on my mission and from our meeting and let me ask some questions and it was just so cool I just felt the spirit in the room I know that he is called of God just like I know that the apostles and prophet are as well, I just have a feeling of joy inside me when I hear them speak at conference and in my interview, he gave me an assignment, he said that on pday I needed to write home and tell my parents that they raised a valiant daughter of God that is doing a marvelous work. So there ya have it, he was so nice and I really am so glad that I got to grow up in the best home with the best family ever!!

Oh and keep Sister Nielson in your prayers she just found out she has melanoma, she's like my second mommy. She will be getting more tests done tomorrow.
Ok sorry to end this on a sad note, but I love you really so much!!!!

We Got To Watch "Meet the Mormons"

Hola, so I just realized that I have been on my mission for 5 months today! At first it seemed to go by pretty slow, but now it is just speeding up so much! I could be leaving Copperas Cove next month, I will die when I have to leave, but its all good!! Sounds like mom and dad your trip was so much fun, and that is so cool you dropped something off for angela I bet she loooooved that!! Also happy anniversary to Gma and gpa, so awesome!!!!

Well this week we got to watch Meet the Mormons at zone conference, you all need to see it, wow I loved it so much and I'm so excited for everyone here to watch it and try and get others to watch it as well! I can't decide which story was my favorite because each one was so great, I love how it answers so many question that people have and it just made me so grateful that I am a mormon:) and just makes me want to be a better person!! We had some big thunderstorms this week which was so fun and so it has been a lot cooler!

We are just keeping busy trying to find more people to teach, going through all our potentials and formers, Fd came to stake conference this week so that was awesome except weirdest story ever.... so we have been teaching him for a month and a half and we have a baptismal date for him, but just wednesday he said he possibly could have been baptized in this church ten years ago in memphis...... we are like what??????? he doesn't know... so we got a hold of our ward clerk and he is gonna figure out if he has its so weird, so he may or may not be getting baptized in a few weeks, he is quite an interesting guy, but he wants the gospel in his life and he wants to do right so whatever happens, its good he is coming to church:)

Yesterday was the most fun pday I've had! We played soccer in the gym for hours! I'm so sore.. I haven't ran that much forever it felt so good, but it was so much fun with all of our zone and I got a hat trick woooo! haha but most exciting since I finished the Book of Mormon, I figured out how much I need to read each day to read it before Christmas again and also read the New Testament, I just love the scriptures they are amazing. Also president challenged us when we read the Book of Mormon to choose a certain subject to study in particular throughout. One of the apostles does this and just uses a new BofM each time with each one having a different subject like faith, or repentance, atonement, I'm so excited to do it! Anywho this week we have a conference in Fort Worth and Elder Cardon of the seventy is speaking to us yay! I will hopefully find Sista T there too!

I love you all lots and lots!!!

I Wanted to Come on a Mission to Share This Happiness - 10/6/14

Good morning!! Mom and Dad, all the pictures look so pretty, sounds like you are having so much fun!! I love y'all!!

So this week was transfers, we only have one new Elder in our district, he is our new district leader Elder J he seems nice and went to Olympus! So not too many changes here in cove, we have been having some crazy weather though, it will be 100 one day and humid and then the next it will be like 75 and not humid, my allergies are going crazy haha!!

One of our investigators came to the stake center on sunday and watched both sessions of general conference with us, that was great! He has a baptism date coming up here soon! On Saturday our stake had a 5k run in the morning before conference, so we went to that but Sister T does NOT like to run haha so we just walked the whole thing, but it was pretty fun! And then we watched the sessions in Killeen at the stake center and in between this sweet old lady took all the missionaries, like 27 of us to eat at Golden Coral and then we watched the afternoon session! I loved how Pres. Packer talked about prayer for a little and how powerful it really is, I mean Joseph Smiths prayer made a HUGE difference, I guess I never looked at it that way and wow just one prayer can make a big difference so never forget to pray!!! I also loved the talks about the sacrament and how we can make it more meaningful by remembering the Savior always not just during sacrament meeting. I especially loved how Sis Esplin said that as the deacons extend their arm to us to partake of the sacrament it is is literally Jesus Christ extending His arm of mercy to us!! I looooooved that!!

When they talked about parents and how important their role is, I was just thinking how great you mama and papa are!! I remember always walking into your room and dad would be kneeling and praying and how in church I would always look over at mom and could see the tears in her eyes as she felt the spirit. I'm so grateful for your example for having family prayers and scripture study and fhe even though I wasn't always the most willing. I love how it talked about how amazing it is that we have a living prophet today, it is so so awesome!!! I loved his talk so much, that is my fave right now:) Decisions determine destiny. I love that. Now I just can't wait to reread them all!!! I hope you all enjoyed the talks!!! It was cool how Elder Bednar talked to the non members and Fred was so listening and that's why he decided on a date to be baptized!!!

This week we have a lot of meetings and will be super busy but it is going to be so awesome I'm excited, I love being here. I love how Elder Bednar said the reason we are so eager to share is because we know the truths of this gospel, that is the reason I wanted to come on a mission because I wanted to share this happiness, and now my desire has grown even more as I have learned more about the gospel and have shared it with others. I love you all so much and always think of you in my prayers.

We Can't Procrastinate

Hiiiiiii!!

I love you! Thanks for the emails! I love hearing about everything that is going on! You are fantastic!! This last week went well, and yes transfers are on Wednesday, goodness they always make me so sad!!! Our district leader who has been here the whole time I've been here is leaving :( But I always end up loving all the new missionaries that I meet! I just don't like saying bye hahah!! All of them always teach me so much!

So yesterday we had a few investigators at church which is always exciting and they said they loved it!! We are really trying to get members at all of our lessons with investigators and the other day I called/texted 13 different members to come to a lesson before finally one would come! Crazy, but it really is so much better when a non missionary is there, its like we aren't as good or something haha!
I absolutely LOVED the womens broadcast wow! They talked about temples so much which was so cool I just wanna go to the temple again! It's so cool that just like all the temples are different on the outside, on the inside they all contain the same eternal truths and we are temples, all different on the outside but we all hold the fulness of the gospel inside!! And how every time a temple is built we bring more light into the world and take away the darkness and every time we go to the temple the same thing!! And I just loved how Pres. Uchtdorf was talking about how God is raining down blessings but our umbrellas of doubt are what are keeping us from receiving them!! And I love how he said to live the gospel JOYFUL!!  It just got me so excited for this weekend!

Right now I am reading 3 Nephi in the Book of Mormon and one cool thing I found while I was studying is that disciple in latin is "a learner" I really like that, as we are all disciples of Jesus Christ, we are all learners learning about him :) Also I learned like how a lighthouse is so important for ships and boats to know where to go in the darkness, and we are to be like a lighthouse and to let our light so shine, so that we can help others who are in the darkness to find their way through! (I see why you like them so much momma)  And in ch. 22 it talks about the gathering of Israel which is so real right now! I was so excited Syd said she told the new girl who moved about the church!! That is so awesome! I hope y'all are sharing the gospel too :)

Ok and then we studied Alma 34 with one of our investigators and I love that chapter of course but I was thinking about how near the end it is talking about how we need to work out our own salvation, we need to repent now, we need to change now, we can't procrastinate! I hope our investigator gets the point :) Anywho I am just loving the Book of Mormon it is so so great! I wish I would've searched and studied and pondered it before, I feel like I just used to read which is good, but this is WAY better!!

So for your entertainment I have a few stories about Sister T, we were in a lesson with two recent converts and we are talking about Jesus Christ's earthly ministry and atonement and she is talking about why Christ came into the world and she says, "He came to condemn the world," I'm like uhhhhhh and then she catches it and says I mean to save the world ahahahhaha!! And then one day we were getting our bikes getting ready to walk out the door I say, "Sister where are your shoes? we are not in Samoa!" she totally forgot to put on shoes! I was dying!! Oh and the Fanos  they made us pani popo! That stuff is so good, it's like these rolls with coconut cream stuff on them wow so yum!!
I love you so much!!!!

I Am Trying To Be Exact In Obedience -- Letter

Well family, thank you so much for the birthday packages.  I enjoyed them very much! I've been sharing my treats with Sister T and I love my new shirt and sweater! I've worn the shirt 2x already haha!  Also, I LOLed at Zach's Frootie of the day!  Man those were some good times!  I also love the new bag it is so big and stiff so super nice!  I loved the sticky notes and just everything I can't say it all but I really appreciated all of it, really!  It was so weird not being home for my bday. ha  It just didn't feel like it really was it haha.  I'm so old!  Everyone here seriously spoiled me they are so sweet!  I love reading your emails and seeing  the pictures!

So A who is awesome is leaving for deployment the 3rd which is quite heart breaking because he is soooo ready to be baptized and now he's leaving for so long :(  We were teaching the word of wisdom last week and I say so Adam will you live the W.O.W.?   He says, "yeah, I'll try, it will be hard."  I ask, what would be holding you back?  We are all cringing waiting to hear . . . . "Well, I need to start eating healthier and not have so many energy drinks." ahhh sigh of relief, haha.  We all thought it was gonna be something bad, haha.  He is so smart and comes up with these amazing analogies we are so bummed he's leaving, he's like perfect!  But in President's email last week he said that as we strive to be exactly obedient we will obtain the miracles we are seeking for.  I believe that is so true so I am trying to be EXACT in obedience.  I love being here, I love hearing from y'all and I love being a missionary!  Everyone should go on a mission for reals!  This is where us and others can find real and lasting happiness!  Thanks again.

Love,
Sister Wells

I Feel So Loved!

Sounds like everyone had stress this week I hope its all good now! Zach looks so old in those pics! And his hair is so long! She is so beautiful though and Skylar looks adorable too:) Dad, that is cool you've been reading about family history stuff a lot and I love what Elder Bednar says about it too how we will be protected from things of the world, it's so awesome! We always share that with people when we talk about fam history! Also I'm so glad you did one of the names I sent home mom!! That is so awesome! I can't wait until I can go to the temple again!!
So this week was great! Thanks for all the birthday wishes and packages! I seriously feel so loved:) Monday was fun, our whole zone had a lunch potluck thing at the church and Sister Nielson made this HUGE cake for my birthday and everyone sang and then I made Sis T and Elder K have a cake eating contest haha it was so fun, and then we played like a million games of speed or lightning (whatever you call that game) and I won like 4x booya!! All the Elders think I'm like dumb and can't do stuff or something because my hair is blond and I get really excited about stuff (but why wouldn't I? the gospel is so awesome!!) anywho they were so surprised that I won hahah!! I was lucky!
Sister Nielson made the yummiest cake!
Then on Tuesday for my birthday Sister T made me breakfast and then the Nielson's surprised me and took us to this way yummy place for lunch and they brought flowers and a poster and a new blanket, such sweetie pies!! And then we went to D and B's for dinner and they had decorations up and everything they are THE sweetest! I'll have to send you all the pictures!! Everyone was so amazing, but it didn't really feel like it was my birthday because I wasn't home haha
This week we had the follow-up training meeting in Colleyville, we left at 6:30am and got home at like 7pm haha its a long day but the meeting was fabulous of course and I just love seeing President and Sister Ames they so rock!!! Also Bb is going to get the Aaronic priesthood which is super exciting he is on fire! It was kinda a bummer not many of our investigators came this Sunday but Fd did, and he was asking really great questions and this was his third Sunday of coming so we are looking forward to meeting with him this week! ohh and I have been playing the piano a lot too! I can play more hymns now, yayyy! Oh by the way there is a couple that moved into the ward with the last name Wells! And his first name is L! Crazy huh?! They are awesome they feel like our grandparents she makes yummy food too:)
We went to three sacrament meetings yesterday, wow what a long day, but it is great to have all that time to really think about how blessed I am. I know I make so many mistakes everyday and it is so amazing to know that I can overcome my weaknesses and just continue to progress each day. That is pretty great. I am so glad that I'm here, thank you for helping me get to this point!! I love this gospel, I know that it is true!!

We Have To Be Christlike Ourselves

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!

Thanks for the emails!! Man I just love y'all and Zachs pictures seriously killed me, Sister T and I were loling in the library!! I love hearing about all the soccer and fun stuff that you're up to, it sounds great!!! Happy Anniversary Mama and Papa!! 28 years?? I can't remember! But you must be old :) I'm so glad you guy got married so that we can have the best family in the world! So THANK YOU!!!

So this week was okey dokey!! I am reading Alma right now and I love it.  President challenged us to read the Book of Mormon by our Zone Conference which is in October! I am learning so much!! We are so lucky that we have the Book of Mormon, not many people do! At our zone council this week we were talking about what really is our objective for being on a mission and our purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ of course, but how do we do that, we have to be Christlike ourselves so I decided to study the Christlike attributes in Preach My Gospel and this week I studied Humility and I loved it, if we just think everything that we have comes from God, so every talent we have was given to us from God, just EVERYTHING! I'm really trying to remember that all the time!

So on Saturday it was Bbs baptism!! It was so funny I'm talking to his wife and she is like Bb goes to sleep at three in the morning because he's always reading, he won't stop!! He's now reading the Doctrine and Covenants haha! I love that guy! I was asked to give the talk on baptism and I was thinking about when Christ was baptized and it says in Matthew that he walked to the river Jordan from Galilee to be baptized by John the baptist because he had the proper authority. That is about 60 miles that he walked! And we have that proper priesthood authority today how lucky?! I feel so blessed to have had that all my life!

Bb and the Fam Bam!
We found some new investigators and some new potentials that seem so solid this week! We had 2 investigators at YSA yesterday and one for CC2 family ward, but that is so good for YSA.  They also attended the CES devotional last night which is so awesome and should be at FHE tonight!! I'm way excited!! Bbs confirmation was so amazing too, and their whole family was in tears, I LOVE seeing the change in people from when I first met them and then to see them when they start living the gospel:)

I can't believe I'm not going to be a teenager anymore, I'm seriously soooooo old!!! Oh well! Love you!!

Sunday Was Quite Fabulous

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA SMURF! Hope its the best day ever! Love you!!!
Hope y'all had a great week!! This week we had interviews with president!! It was like an all day thing, because we have studies there and then trainings from the zone leaders and the interviews take a long time because he talks to each of us for awhile, but I love it I just wish I could meet with him for an hour haha! He is so in tune with the spirit he knows exactly what to say! I am trying to be better at that so that I can be led to say what I need to for those we teach.

Oh and exciting news, Sister T got a bike at the end of last week! Yay I'm so excited to ride again:) We did for a little on Saturday to our appointments for just a few hours and haha on Sunday in YSA gospel principles the lesson was on missionary work and so Laura had us share some thoughts and stuff and Sis T killed me haha she was like, "sometimes it's hard and hot and we are out on our bikes waving to everyone who drives by, but its totally worth it." I started laughing because we have only done that one time!! Then everyone was laughing she is a blast though! She is teaching me some Samoan haha and there is a hawaiian grill in Cove so we have been there twice! Its gooooooooooood!! Then we went to this family in the 1st ward for dinner yesterday that are from Samoa and they made so much amazing food! They said the L&L in Provo is good! Y'all should go there! I think I really need to be polynesian so thats probably why Sister T is my companion:) Oh my, and the family made me eat so much haha!

But this Sunday was quite fabulous! At first we were kind of bummed because lots of our investigators didn't come to church, but our testimony meeting in the family ward was soooooooo good! Four recent converts bore there testimony, B, her sis D, Iz and C, the spirit was so strong, then a lady that we visit and this was her 2nd time coming to church in 10 years bore her testimony too!!!!!!!!!! Wow, so good. And Iz's dad had his baptismal interview and is so so so excited for his baptism! He is 72 its so cute!

This morning I was reading in Alma 31 and it is talking about the Zoramites who once a week would go up and give the same prayer thanking God that they were better than everyone else and I was reading and thinking how sometimes do we just say our prayers and read the scriptures and go to church for the three hours and not really think about it? Maybe just going with the flow, but we can't!! Then we will turn into the Zoramites!! So I hope all y'alls praying and reading as a family is going well too:)
I love you!! Thanks for all you do!!

Sista Wells

Added a few minutes later after asking her if Iz's dad was really 72: "Yep, well I guess it's her grandpa but they adopted her when she was 6 so yeah!!  I loved reading the whole letter! the Nielsons and the ysa branch went to the BYU game! they said it was fun and Pres told the Nielsons if it would have been in our mission he would let all the missionaries go!!  I got an all time low today -- only 12 emails. usually I'm always over 20, very sad. I think this means schools started and people are too busy haha

Most Exciting This Week -- Billie's Baptism!

Heyyyyyyyo! Man, I was so bummed we couldn't email yesterday! I was dying because the library was closed!! But anywho this week was so great! And sounds like y'all are doing great too! Thanks for always emailing:) To answer your questions mother, no sister t doesn't like to work out :( I make her run 2 laps every morning though, and she doesn't have her bike :( so that makes me super sad because we drive lots now, but we try to walk sometimes too. She's super funny and cute!

So this week we met with B who is Iz's dad and he said he wants to be baptized on the 13th and that we need to make sure to teach him everything he needs to know by then!!!! Yayyyyyyyyyy:) p.s. thats your anniversary and gpa's birthday I totally remember, what a great day it will be! And remember M? The one we met on our bikes and then he came to church and he was crying and like loving it? Then he disappeared??? On our way to district meeting I saw him alongside the road! I pulled over sooooo fast and got his new address and number and yayy!!! So that was awesome!

Yesterday I practiced playing the piano for like 2 hrs so that I can play more than five hymns because our district and the YSA branch needs some help so I'm trying to be helpful haha! And also for FHE they had sport night, little did we know, so I was wearing a pencil skirt, but I won a game of speed so booya!! And A came! He is a new investigator that David brought to FHE a couple weeks ago, he just got to Fort Hood from basic training and we have met with him twice! He is sooooooo solid, I love him and he has started reading from the Book of Mormon and said when he is at church he feels whole and happy!!! Oh my! The Nielsons let us meet with him at their place since he lives on post and for both lessons we've had like three members there haha talk about having member present lessons! He's like best friends with everyone now so it is just awesome!! We are so lucky to be able to teach all these amazing people:)

But most exciting this week was Billie's baptism!!! It was so amazing! After the baptism she bore her testimony and it was the sweetest thing in the world! And it was so cute on sunday when we were doing introductions in sunday school she so proudly introduced herself as Sister S instead of B:) And when she was confirmed she was crying and said she had an overwhelming feeling of goodness:) But even better, her husband wrote her a note saying that he was following right behind her and can't wait until he can get baptized so they can be sealed and have an eternal marriage!!!!!!!!! That made my day:) Their whole family came to the baptism and to church and I can't wait to see them all this week!!
My best selfie with B!

Sorry I'm all over, I'm just typing as fast as I can! I can't believe its september and that I'm going to be 20! Wow I'm so old! I love you all soooooooo much :)

Dynamite Team!

Hi fam bam!!!

I love reading all your emails they are the best! Thanks! And thank you for the package!! LOVED it! As always!! And I'm so glad the Nielsons emailed you:) They told me you did! I love them to death seriously!! I never want to leave them!

So I had my last few days with Sista Tuck and it was pretty sad I love her! We went to Pday activity and played dutch baseball, have ya ever played that?! Super fun! But I just hate this whole transfer thing because I HATE saying bye to people it always makes me so sad and want to cry, they're like my people and then they leave, but I better get used to it haha!! One of the elders in our zone called me Elder Wells... that was a first. Anywho we had to wake up at 3:30am on Wednesday to get to Hurst on time for transfers and for me to meet my new companion! The Nielsons drove us:) Sister Tuna is from Samoa and she loooooooves meat and is such a crack up, I love her and she is so smart and great I don't even need to do any training:) When we left our meeting President said we were going to be a dynamite team:) I know we will!! And I'm excited! We are always on the same page during our lessons so the spirit is always there!
Sister T -- I Love her!

But I gotta tell ya the best news ever!! So B who is D's sister (RC) had a baptismal date for the 30th, but we had to talk to president to get an interview with one of his counselors due to some past problems that she has had and we didn't know how long it would be until he would be down in Killeen and then how long she would possibly have to wait to be baptized, but we called and President Peterson was going to be in Killeen on Sunday so we set up an interview for her yesterday! I was so nervous and excited for her, Sister T and I prayed so hard and fasted that whatever would happen would be ok because that is what God wanted and that she would really be converted and stay strong if she had to wait awhile. So we met at the Stake Center and we said a prayer with them before they had the interview and then after he had us come back in to say another closing prayer and he told us that B was prepared to be baptized and that he just needed to call President Ames and talk with him and that he would let us know as soon as he got a hold of him. So we were so excited!!! And then we went to church and during sacrament we got a text from him saying to proceed with the baptism!!!! I showed B who was right next to me and she was SO excited! It is just amazing!! She has completely changed from who she was when I first got here, and this is what she wants soo soooo bad and she keeps saying she can't wait to go to the temple! I couldn't help but cry because of how amazing the gospel really is and how it changes their lives! So she will be baptized on Saturday!!! Sister T is gonna die when she hears:) Also it will be awesome for B's husband to come to the baptism and their whole family!!!:)

Other exciting news! The C's had us over for dinner last night and we watched the Restoration video with them and Brother C has already read all the pamphlets and everything from the lessons and he wants to be baptized but says he doesn't know when, we were trying to set a date for him in September, but he would not! ah but said that he would tell us when we see him on Thursday! He is so sweet (72yrs old) and he said that he wants to make sure that I am here when he does, it melted my heart:) And then they were all talking about how they are going to get sealed in the temple! Like yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! So that was awesome!

I love you all so so much!!

Three Months! -- Has Been Fast/Slow

"Della" and I just being weird
Oh my I can't believe it has been three months since I left,  it has been so fast/slow! But all of it has been super awesome!! Sounds like yall are partying way to much haha!! Sounds like a blast, I love all the pictures! And cool news daddio on your new calling in the Bishopric that is super awesome you'll be fab!!

This week was pretty swell I gave Sista T a nickname and it is Della, and her street warrior name (whenever we are biking or just walking to contact as many people as we can) is Galadriel (however you spell it hehe) and I named everyone else in our district as well:) I love them, and it is gonna change soooooooooooo much though now because of transfers, but it will be exciting!! Did ya get my letter with the family names?? Idk if they're good or not but we did that for district meeting this week which was way fun!

So it was way cool this week, we were riding our bikes and we are trying to talk to everybody and we stop to talk to the this guy Travis, and lo and behold he just moved here from Yorktown not too long ago and he had been meeting with missionaries for two months there and was going to be baptized but had to move right before his date!! I don't know why we didn't get a referral for him from the elders there, but God knew so he made sure we ran into him!! Super cool! He is super awesome and has a testimony of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith! Exciting! But he wasn't at church yesterday dunno why!!!!! ahhhh we will get a hold of him though! But also one of our investigators B who is the one who is the RC sister and her and her husband are investigating and stuff, quit smoking!!!!!!!!! We love their family to death they are the BEST! They feed us all the time and they just love us:) But anywho we go over and she's like yeah I'm not smoking anymore and her and her husband were in like Alma chapter 40!! They passed me!! She has always been so wishy washy, but she wants this sooo bad now and so she has really been committed. It's so amazing she has changed so much! When we went over on Saturday her husband went out to smoke and she got up and was like I'm gonna go hit him with this Book of Mormon, if he doesn't stop I'll make him!! And she came to church yesterday too and she just looooooves it:) Its so awesome too, because the whole family has Book of Mormons and will come to "bible study" whenever we come over even though they go to different churches, they'll all be baptized and go to the temple someday:)

New Trainers

I'm excited to meet my newbie!

But yeah on Wednesday Sister T and I got a call from President and he called Sister T to be a Sister Training Leader in Weatherford!!! Yay she rocks! And me to be a trainer! I'm like so scared because I just barely finished getting trained!!! But I know that this is what I'm supposed to do and I will learn so much and I'm excited to meet my newbie:) I get to drive now woot woot!! This will be such a learning experience for sure! So those pics you got mom were from the meeting we had in Hurst for the new trainers and leaders and stuff! We left at 6am and got home at 6pm -- so much driving!! And we get to do that again on Wednesday but even earlier yay!!haha

But the last amazing story that happened was, ok so Iz was baptized last month, and her mother is a member and her dad isn't. He came to to the baptism and church for the confirmation, he's been reading the BoM and some church books, but last week he told us this experience. They got home from vacation and he was feeling really sick, he has bad vertigo, so they called Bro Mitchell and Davis to come give him a blessing. When he told the story he got all choked up because he said their house was filled with the Spirit sooooo much and that he hasn't felt better for over two years!!!!! He was like I will definitely be at church on Sunday! So they all come and he told us he wants to be baptized. like ok sure! I'm so excited for their family!!!! Then they can be sealed in the temple!!!!!!! But yeah it was amazing and he told the whole story in priesthood the elders said and it's so great!!! Isn't that cool?!!
Love you all to death!!

He Is Literally Giving Us People To Teach

Good morning fam!!

So I love you all to death, I really do!! Thanks for the emails:) Sounds like Yuba was fun even though you weren't blessed with my presence:) And thanks tons for the family history stories, can't wait to read all of them!!

So this week I was sick, my allergies started acting up and it turned into a cold so my nose was so runny and my throat was scratchy and itchy eyes, awful!! But the Nielsons my favorite couple in the entire world were too sweet and bought me medicine, like they bought me nyquil, dayquil, mucinex, throat drops, emergen-c and then three boxes of girl scout cookies haha I love them to death they are like my missionary mom and dad they take care of all of us missionaries:) So I'm feeling much better this week though so that's good!! It has gotten hot hot here now, its always over 100 and I'm just hot, sweaty and stinky haha but its awesome and we have been riding our bikes lots so its great haha!

So this week was one of our investigators birthdays so we bought her some twizzlers since those are her fave, and then her sister who is a recent convert we got her a big picture and frame of the Salt Lake City temple because she is OBSESSED with it and with Utah. She wants to go to Utah sooooooooo bad and I just got thinking wow, like I could go to that temple any day I wanted and she just wants to save up her money and plan a trip to go there and do baptisms for the dead there and just see everything in Utah, we are so lucky! I told her she should come when I get home so I can take her everywhere:) she's so cute, and she just found out she is related to Orson Hyde so she's like dying! Family history is sweeeeet!

Ok so it was awesome, I was feeling kind of sad on Saturday, because it feels like we are trying so hard and doing our best, but we just aren't having as much success and stuff but then I get to church on Sunday and we had 3 investigators and so many potential investigators at sacrament and a lady we visit who hasn't come to church in 10 years came and after she texted us and said I'm really glad I came today:) like goodness! God is just so nice always and he is literally just giving us people to teach!! One of the potentials I mentioned is E who the Nielsons just met last week at some store and he came to church and he is adorable and funny he was going around meeting everyone and shaking everyones hand and I was like wait do you know these people?? And he's like oh I just thought that's what everyone did here? haha he is so cool and then after he was saying bye to everyone and was like see ya next week! So exciting!!!!

Sorry I feel like I'm just all over but I also wanted to say y'all are amazing, I just realize it more and more!! Just how we would read from the Book of Mormon together and how we would all set goals and then have interviews with dad to go over them each month, and then we studied preach my gospel too, like you prepared me so much I just wish I wouldn't have taken it for granted as much, but thank you so much for your example!!! Today I was reading in Mosiah and the story of Abinadi is soooooooo sweet! He is so cool. Anyway love you lots!

I'm Learning To Have More Patience

Enjoying her box from home!
Hi Hi!

Sounds like this week was fun with the soccer tournaments and triathlon and Kelsey's party whatever that was!! But glad to hear from ya! And that is really really cool Dad that you took your friends to the temple open house!! And their responses were really neat:) I wanna go to the temple ah I wish it was closer!!

This week was good, I feel like I'm learning to have more patience. haha You all used to joke around with me about how I want something and I want it now haha and I sometimes do, like I just know that our investigators know that this is true so I'm like kk get baptized now then! But some need more time so they know for sure that this is what they want, when I think about it, Iz had been taught for over a year and she just barely got baptized, I hope our investigators don't wait a whole year though!! I love them all though I wish I could have you meet them:)

I love having the opportunity to study every morning for two hours and then also just whenever we have some free time! I just keep learning so much, this morning I was reading about knowledge and in the Bible Dictionary it says that "one only progresses as he gains knowledge." And I just think that is for us for our whole lives, I think sometimes in school and other things I did my work so that I could get it done and get good grades and just to do what I was supposed to, but now I just want to know more so I can really know it and have more knowledge! Like it says in Doctrine and Covenants, "Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed; then, if you desire, you shall have my Spirit and my word, yea, the power of God unto the convincing of men." There is so much to learn from the scriptures I'll never know it all and the gospel is simple, but the more knowledge we know the better we can explain and share it with others and let the Holy Ghost guide the things we say. I just really like that!!

I love you all sooooooooooooo much!!!!

Oh and could you still send me a story of our family history?? Just one or two that are good?! kk thanks! We went to the family history center this week and Sister Chase helped me find like 4 people to do temple work for yayyyy!! It's so awesome and so fun, I wish I could go to the temple for them!! But y'all will have to do it!!:)
